Steve founded Identient in 2024 with a vision to modernize how organizations approach Identity and Access Management (IAM) by positioning it as a strategic, business-first discipline. He envisions Identient as a trusted partner that empowers organizations to achieve elevated business performance and resilience through Sentient IAM—a holistic framework integrating strategy, governance, people, culture, and technology.

Through this approach, Identient shifts the focus from product-centric solutions to a governance-led model that aligns IAM initiatives with broader business objectives, fosters agility, and drives sustainable, long-term impact. Steve sees Identient as a catalyst for transforming IAM into a strategic asset that not only protects but also enables innovation and growth.

Previously, Steve held leadership roles at PwC, VMware, and Oracle, where he drove transformative initiatives, including a $13M CIAM modernization program for Washington State and advancements in identity threat protection at VeriClouds. He earned his MBA from Santa Clara University and a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, and is a recognized thought leader, having spoken at leading conferences such as Identiverse and Kuppinger Cole’s Consumer Identity World.
